How the puzzles work

Trace

Thread one unbroken path through every square without lifting your finger or crossing yourself. The path must reach the numbered checkpoints in order.

Regions

Place six markers so there is one in every row, every column, and every colored region. No two markers may touch, including diagonally.

Balance

Fill the grid with two symbols so each row and column ends up evenly split, with no three of the same symbol in a row. The small signs between squares are constraints: an equals sign means those two squares match, and a cross means they differ.

Numbers

Fill the grid so every row, every column, and every outlined box contains each digit exactly once.

Bridges

Connect every island so the whole network is joined. Each numbered island needs exactly that many bridges, drawn straight across, never crossing, and no more than two between the same pair.

Blocks

Divide the grid into rectangles so every number sits in a block of exactly that many squares, and every square belongs to one block.

Every puzzle is generated with exactly one solution. If you're stuck, there's always a path forward from the squares you've already filled — no guessing is ever required.

Common questions

I bought the app but it's asking me to pay again

Open Settings inside the app and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Your purchase covers both iPhone and Mac.

Reminders aren't appearing

Check three things. First, that reminders aren't set to Off in the app's Settings. Second, that notifications are allowed for Executive Puzzles in your device's system settings. Third, note that reminders are delivered quietly and won't interrupt an active Focus — they'll be waiting in Notification Center instead.

Reminders arrive during my meetings

Turn on "Avoid interrupting meetings" in Settings and grant calendar access. The app will then look for a real gap in your schedule instead of following a fixed clock.

Why does the app want calendar access?

Only to check whether you're free, so a reminder lands between meetings rather than during one. Your calendar is read on your device and never leaves it. The app works fully without granting access.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.

Do you have an Android version?

Not currently. Executive Puzzles is built natively for iPhone and Mac.
