Privacy Policy
Executive Puzzles doesn't know who you are, and it isn't trying to find out. The app runs entirely on your device.
What we collect
Anonymous, aggregate usage statistics only. Specifically:
- How often each puzzle type is played and completed
- Roughly how long puzzles take to solve, in broad time bands rather than exact durations
- Whether break reminders lead to the app being opened
- Which general settings people choose, such as how often reminders are set to appear
- Which app version and operating system version are in use
Each of these is sent as a standalone count — for example, "a Trace puzzle was completed" — with no field connecting it to any other event, from your device or anyone else's, past or future.
We use no device identifier, advertising identifier, account identifier, or installation identifier of any kind. This means we cannot tell how many individual people use the app, whether the same person opened it twice, or anything else about any specific device or session. We only ever see totals across everyone.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email address, or any account information — there is no account
- Your location
- The contents of your calendar
- Any advertising or cross-app tracking identifier
- Anything that could identify you personally
Calendar access
If you turn on calendar-aware reminders, the app reads your calendar's free and busy status on your device only, so it can suggest a break during a genuine gap in your schedule. This information is never transmitted, stored remotely, or logged. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, and the app works fully without it.
Your controls
Usage statistics
Settings includes a switch to turn off all anonymous usage reporting. Nothing we send is tied to you, but the choice is yours to make.
Reminders
Adjust how often reminders appear, or turn them off entirely, in Settings.
Calendar
Grant or revoke calendar access at any time, either in the app's Settings or in your device's system settings.
Third parties
We use no third-party analytics tools, no advertising networks, and no third-party crash reporting services. Usage statistics go to a server we operate directly. We don't sell, rent, or share data with third parties, because there is no individually identifying data to share.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction.
Children's privacy
Executive Puzzles is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and note any material change in the app's release notes.
